WHY WE CHOSE ACTBLUE

ActBlue is a federally regulated conduit fundraising platform that securely processes online contributions on behalf of Democratic candidates and progressive organizations. When a donor makes a contribution, ActBlue collects the payment information, transmits the funds directly to the designated campaign or committee, and provides the required FEC‑compliant reporting. Donors receive an immediate receipt, may opt to save their information for streamlined future contributions, and can establish recurring monthly support if they choose. ActBlue does not deduct fees from the donation itself; instead, donors are offered the option to add a voluntary tip to support platform operations. This structure ensures transparency, uniformity, and accountability in how contributions are processed across Democratic campaigns.

IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS

An in‑kind contribution is a non‑monetary donation of goods or services that a campaign receives instead of money. When someone provides something of value — such as professional services, event space, printed materials, or supplies — and the campaign would otherwise have had to pay for it, that donation is recorded as an in‑kind contribution. The value is reported at its fair market rate, and the contribution counts toward the donor’s legal contribution limits. In‑kind contributions help campaigns reduce expenses while maintaining full transparency and compliance with campaign‑finance rules.
